Troopers are assigned to locations throughout Arizona, applicants may request up to three duty assignment locations (city/town/county or patrol district) for consideration by the Department. Applicants may list these (up to three) requested duty assignment locations in their online application, or enter the word "anywhere" on their online application if they do not have a preference.

District One: Kingman, Lake Havasu, Bullhead City, Wikieup (Remote Duty Housing in Wikieup), St George/Littlefield, Fredonia/Kanab

District Two: Page, Williams (Remote Duty Housing available in Valle and Tusayan), Flagstaff (Remote Duty Housing Available in Grey Mountain)

Besides experience Arizona's breathe taking sunsets. One of the seven wonders of the world is a short trip away from Phoenix. This tourist attraction is a view that can only be experienced in person. With so many options to view the Grand Canyon including helicopter, rafting, horseback, and camping there is a way for everyone to experience the natural beauty that the Canyon has to offer. 

South of the wonder is Sedona where you can see the vibrant red rocks that are visible the minute you enter the town. With its breath taking views and Golf and Spa resorts this is the perfect place to vacation or see for a day. With slide rock and multiple places to swim it is the destination to enjoy. Sedona's main street includes art galleries, and tourist shops that are sure to bring home a souvenir. Sedona is known for their incredible Pink Jeep Tours that take you through the heart of the Red Rocks and show the Vortexes that are known for their energies. 

Antelope Canyon made from sandstone is a stunning hike that will take the you through the browns and reds of the canyon. This unique look is perfect for any pictures and is one for the bucket list. 

Havasu Falls has some of the most blue water you can find in Arizona. With its multiple waterfalls and pools the environment is perfect after hiking to see the spectacular view that the falls have to offer.

While Arizona is known for its deserts and warm climate, it also offers opportunities for skiing and snowboarding in the northern part of the state. Arizona may not be the first place that comes to mind for winter sports, but with Arizona Snowbowl their are endless trails for those looking for the cold.

There is also endless hiking trails all throughout the cities, there is an endless exploration opportunity. Camelback Mountain, the red rocks in Sedona, White Tank Mountains, and Tom's Thumb just to name a few. Thrill seekers can scale rock formations in Cochise Stronghold or get in the water with white water rapids in the Grand Canyon. Or for a more serene experience, hot air balloon rides offered throughout can give a more panoramic view of Arizona landscapes.

Additionally, hunters can pursue elk, dove, javelina, and more with one of the best hunting in the United States. You can also cast out your line in tranquil lakes and rivers, indulging in the abundance of fishing areas. Arizona is also known for having some of the best golf courses that money can buy. Camping under the northern stars or desert skies, Mountain biking, wildlife viewing, stargazing, photography opportunities throughout, making Arizona a haven for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds.
